Personally I didn’t really put this around my neck. Only for periods where I knew it would a be a short duration (10-20mins). Most of the time it was around my waist, tucked in my jeans. I really liked this method for this pouch. It was really comfortable tucking it in and felt extra secure with the adjustable strap. Whenever I bought something I would just slip it out and it was pretty easy to get my credit card or cash.It will do what it's supposed to while I'm abroad I'm sure, but I had hoped that it might not scream "TOURIST" quite so loudly. Yes I looked at the photos before buying, but I thought it would go beneath a shirt without any fuss. It'll be fine beneath jackets and I won't have to worry about my pockets at least.We bought these to carry our ID's credit cards, and passports. Easier to board cruise ships with everything and not have to carry in carry one luggage. We prefer not to carry on and drag it around for an hour or two waiting on our room.
