I bought these too walk in after back surgery. Back surgery set off Planter Fasciitis, I was in pretty miserable condition pain wise. So I was willing to pay almost anything to help with my issues. I read tons of shoe reviews & decided on these Hoka Bondi 6. My first impression out of box was, these aren't the prettiest shoes I've ever bought but, aren't the ugliest shoes either. Picking the shoes up, you realise. They're feather light for such big looking shoes. Trying them on, very comfortable, breathable, spongy feel, & seem to spring back. They put a little pep in your step. I was disappointed they didn't have more arch support. To the point, I put inserts in them but, removed quickly, upon realizing the shoes lost some of its spongy feel. Now I'm walking everyday, straighter, & longer. These Hoka shoes seems too have helped a great deal with my planter fasciitis. Along with a few other remedies I've been trying. These shoes are very comfortable, I like the feel & height. If Hoka made a shoe similarly, with more arch support. I'd buy them in a heartbeat!!! Other than the steep price & need of slight bit more arch support. I cannot find any negatives with these shoes so far. They're probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I even believe they've helped me correct my stride. When you have body issues, your body adjust to compensate. I'm back to walking like I did before my back issues! The Bondi 6 offers maximum cushion and a very comfortable ride. The all black colorway means you can get away wearing it in business or some religious informal settings. Some colorways, like black and white, come in a chewy or wide width. This is extremely comfortable, and in the winter you can insert an Ugg shearling insole so you can enjoy The Best of Both Worlds. This running shoe is also rare in that it offers a knit upper for maximum ventilation in hot and humid days. Your foot you'll perspire noticeably less. 4 incredibly comfortable shoe for running, walking, jogging, and everything in between, this one leads the pack.Model: HOKA ONE ONE Men's Bondi 6 Running ShoeOverall:9.5Aesthetic: 9Acoustic: 9Fit: 9Plush density, insole: 9Walking: 9Durability: 9Quality: 9Branding: 8Dress up: 9Dress down: 9Pros: Comfortable and versatile, well ventilated running and lifestyle shoe.Cons: The default in Seoul, is reasonably well made but really does not offer sufficient cushion.Note: For the winter season in colder climates, consider appearing with the Uggs shearling insole. The Ora recovery slide generation 2 is a terrific Counterpoint to the Bondi line of shoes. After a long run, the Hoka Ora recovery sandal will vibrate therapy so you can tackle the world the next day.Love these shoes - they were a lifesaver with my plantar fasciitis. I own 2 pair and they are both the most comfortable tennis shoes I've ever owned. Unfortunately, the second pair started squeaking on the right shoe. Not very loud, in fact I can only hear it in an empty room... but it's annoying. After reading the reviews, I went up a 1/2 size- from 9.5 to 10. Glad I did. Normally, I have worn a 4XE in New Balance- but the cut in of the toe on their newer shoes really played havoc with my feet- which are duck feet- super wide. I need both cushioning AND a wide toe box. Have been very disappointed with a lot of brands- so out of desperation I paid over a hundred for these. I prefer a cheaper shoes, of course, but not if it's going to make my feet hurt. Long story short- these are great. I was worried this D width wouldn't be wide enough- but what a surprise! It is! Just barely on my left foot- but it works. And better than then 4E in the NB! So go figure. The cushioning of the sole is fabulous. And the spring in the toe bed is really noticeable. I'm a fan- and I didn't expect to be.I bought these shoes a year ago, and they are still in wonderful shape. I'm a large guy, I mean 270lbs, 6ft tall large guy and I frequent the gym. These shoes are so comfortable it's almost like walking on clouds. They provide great support, they're not slip resistant, but they don't slide either. They have a lot of cushion. I've developed a heel pain in my right heel and these shoes completely remove that pain while wearing them. I wish they were slip resistant so I could wear them at work, that's literally my only complaint. If you're looking for a very comfortable running shoe, this one's by far the best one I've ever experienced. I would strongly suggest buying these. This brand makes the most cushion I have personally ever worn in a running shoe. It’s great for running long distances on pavement and trail terrain. When your finishing time should be the main concern and not worrying about potential injuries from degrading posture (e.g. heel striking) – this is my shoe. In addition, it’s lighter than running shoes I’ve used for half marathons. The alloy/grey color scheme of this design disguises the thick sidewall cushion at the bottom of the shoe making it look like a ‘regular’ running shoe.A personal cautionary note is that wide fitting shoes are available. They should be considered as I regrettable returned a regular size 11 after trying the shoes on for 30 seconds. Fortunately there is a size 11-wide available. If you are questioning if the higher price is worth it – I say ‘yes’!This is my fourth or fifth pair of these shoes. I’m on my feet 8-10 hours a day working on a concrete floor. Before discovering these shoes I had to use shoe inserts to get through the day. These shoes corrected all that. I’ve turned many of my coworkers onto them and they love them as well. Great product.Best running shoe I’ve had. I run on blacktop and needed a shoes with plenty of cushion and this is it. Plenty of toe room. Not the greatest arch support, so I added a $10 insert and it is great. The only bad side, is that these should only be used for running because the thick sole causes you to be unbalanced if you do any drastic twists such as in defensive tactics training. Pretty much if you go any direction other that forward and back, it feels like you are toning to goal right off the shoe.My goal was to find shoes with Large toe box (for the toes to splay)I read endless reviews, then narrowed down to recommended HOKA and Under Armour shoes. Unfortunately, at this age of ecommerce, the product information has near-zero info about the toe box size. So my only course was to order and try. If you have the same need, hope it helps. At Amazon some shoes have Amazon’s Size Recommendation Tool. Don’t trust it!Instead read the reviews. For me it recommended Size 11 for each of the shoes; reviews recommended going up one size. I thought if Amazon recommends me 11, I’d go up only half a size. That was a mistake. Trust the reviews.Under Armour Ua Drift Rn MineralIt’s certainly too small, even at half a size bigger than my usual. Go 1 full size up. Toe box size: bigger than usual shoes. This ended up my favourite.Under Armour Men's Charged Bandit 3Go one full size up. It does not have very large toe box though.Hoka Clifton 5Go half a size up Regular toe box size, not suitable for toes to splay.Hoka Bondi 5 Uomo A3Toe box size: large. Similar to the Under Armour. However, they have very thick sole. Bouncy. As for the style, they look like the special needs orthopedic shoes or that people who want to look taller would wear.Altra Torin 3: absolutely amazing toe box size. Unfortunately Altra’s designs are very …1980s. While I won’t mind ‘unfashionable' for running, I wouldn’t wear them otherwise. After only 3 months, both trainers have split on the sides, totally unacceptable for such expensive trainers which are now unusable as they offer no stability and the tear is getting bigger with each step.I cannot get any help from Amazon other than contacting the seller who have yet to respond.I will update as this situation continues. It's too much money, 130 pounds, to pay for such poor quality.Great cushioning is useless without the upper support.I'm not heavy footed or an athlete, these trainers have been subject to normal wear, a 5k run 4-5 times a week is the only time I wear them, I don't wear them unless I'm going for a run and since I have had a bad back for the last few weeks, they have had very little wear and no running.Very disappointed. There are just brilliant, lots of cussioning, sturdy and lightweight. I have tried all the other brands, Nike, Puma Adidas etc, and yes they are good, but these beat then on cussioning and comforts. I take a size 8 and took the advice of other and got an 8.5 size. perfect fit. we all have our favourite brand but was looking for something different. bought a 2nd pair for the wife. again half size up ordered. you wont be disappointed.Love these shoes but was forewarned to go up half a size from my usual running shoes. I've worn size 10 Saucony shoes for years, but for these I went for 10.5. Definitely the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned.A great comfy shoe that I used for everyday use.
